How Long Does It Take to Remodel a Bathroom?

The length and time it takes to remodel a bathroom depends on how large the project is, heath conditions, and unexpected factors.

Bathroom remodel
There are different size bathrooms around different designed houses and commercial buildings. Here we are going to talk about small bathroom remodels and master bathroom remodels.

You have to consider the tear out and rebuild time it is going to take for whatever size bathroom you are looking to remodel.

If everything is perfect then the average time for contractors to remodel a bathroom is 22 days. That is about 4.5 weeks to tear everything out and re-build to your specifications.

Employees & Contracts are human too so they might get sick.

Sometimes project take longer than expected because during some of the days some employees got sick and couldn't make it that day to continue on the renovations.

They are human so that is understandable to be patient.

Weather can defer your remodeling time

Other times during projects we may run into weather issues out of our control.  If it extremely rainy outside and there are leaks dripping into the bathroom, we may need to fix the leak before we continue the project.

Unexpected things occur and one of those things can be the weather which may delay your bathroom remodeling project a few days or weeks back.

Tasks Included for a bathroom remodel:

  1. Demolition
  2. Rough Carpentry
  3. Plumbing Rough-In
  4. Electrical Rough- In
  5. First Inspection
  6. Insulation
  7. Hang Drywall
  8. Finish Drywall
  9. Paint
  10. Final Inspection
  11. Tile Work
  12. Cabinets
  13. Flooring
  14. Hookups
  15. Fixtures
  16. Misc.

This task timeline provides a detailed look at the various aspects of renovating and a range of how long each step should take.

While some factors may be outside of both your and the contractor’s control, the key is isolating the steps that you think might be obstacles in advance, and allotting more time to get them done.

How Does Ductless Air Conditioning Work?

How Does a Mini Split System Work?

If you are looking for targeted Heating and cooling, consider ductless air conditioning. Let's Look at how they are beneficial.

ductless air conditioner
Commonly referred to as Mini Split Air Conditioning Systems, ductless air conditioners are super easy to install and require no ductwork, like in its name.

Ductless air conditioners are convenient because you can actually install it yourself if you know what you are doing.

You can call a HVAC professional just to confirm you installed it correctly.
Or you can also call a professional to come do it for you.

Many homes will use a Mini split for a section of the home that does not have central HVAC attached to it.

This could be an addition that was added on after the central system was installed or maybe a porch area or separate building that could not have ducting connected to it.

As Mini splits grow in popularity more homes have started using them to heat and cool the entire home.

Components of a ductless air conditioner

Mini Split AC systems are made out of two components. They do not require ductwork throughout the house like a conventional air conditioning system.
  1. Inside Unit
  2. Outside Unit

Indoor unit

The indoor unit includes an evaporator coil & fan that are in the same enclosure. The indoor AC system can either be a single-zone ductless mini split air conditioner or it could be multi-zone. Each indoor unit is able to provide separate air conditioning though they are all connected to the same outdoor unit.

Outdoor Unit

Outdoor unit includes three parts:
  1. compressor
  2. condensing coil
  3. Fan

How does a mini split ductless aiar conditioner work?

During the refrigeration cycle, the compressor converts low-pressure gas into a high-pressure gas.

The forced air fan then dissipates the heat outdoors. Next, the refrigerant becomes a high-pressure liquid which is once again changed into a low-pressure liquid by a metering device located at the evaporator coil.

The refrigerant absorbs the heat energy that is indoors and the mini split’s internal blower pushes cooler air into the house.

When the refrigerant in its liquid state absorbs the heated air, it becomes a low-pressure gas that moves through the suction line and back to the compressor. A cycle begins.

Mini Split Vs. Multi- Split

Mini- Split System

A mini-split has a single outdoor condenser and a single indoor fan coil. This configuration is perfect when cooling a single room that does not have excessive load requirements.

In case there is enough space to place more than one condensing unit outdoors, several units may be used together to provide cooling for a whole building.

When you use this kind of installation, you will have separate temperature control for each unit.

This is beneficial because in case there is a malfunction in one of the units, the rest will not be affected and will continue to work.

Multi- Split

A multi-split system comprises of one condenser unit that is connected to more than one indoor air handler. T

his configuration uses a thermostat to select an indoor. Once a call for cooling is made, all the units are activated simultaneously. Even though this configuration is cost-effective, it should only be used in buildings where every room has the same cooling load.

In order to achieve zoning using a multi-split ductless air conditioning system, the condensing unit will have to be fixed with individual compressor circuits that are piped to separate air handlers.

Using multi-split AC systems allows occupants of different rooms to regulate the temperature of each separate room using a thermostat for that room.

HVAC Inspection : High Quality HVAC Systems are Essential for the Workplace.

What Comes with a HVAC Inspection?

IF you own commercial buildings where people are employees, make sure they are working with the Air Quality they deserve. Get your HVAC Inspection to make sure you do not receive any complaints.

HVAC is an acronym that represents the terms heating, ventilation and air conditioning.

An HVAC system is one of the comforts that are taken for granted until it stops working properly. That is why HVAC inspections are important to help keep your system working.

Often unnoticed, these systems provide comfortable air to buildings of any size but are usually used in medium to large office buildings and industrial buildings.

By examining the aspects of an HVAC system, you can better understand how it works and why it is needed.

When it comes to businesses, the question is usually not "will we have an HVAC system?" but rather "what kind of HVAC system will we have?" Contacting a licensed professional is the best course of action when you reach this stage in your business planning and preparation.

Heating

The first aspect in this type of system is heating. The air is heated by a furnace, boiler or heat pump and then forced through the building via ductwork or pipes and radiators.

Typically the heating element (boiler, furnace, etc.) is housed in a mechanical room that is isolated from work areas as it tends to be a noisy location.

The heating aspect of this system is vital to maintaining comfortable temperatures during the warm summer months.

Additionally, the heating system supports the rest of the building by preventing frozen pipes and various other challenges that occur when a heating system is inadequate.

Ventilation

The next aspect in this type of system is ventilation. Ventilation is very important in office buildings and industrial spaces, as stale air can affect work performance and the overall health of the employee.

You can ventilate a space either mechanically or naturally. Mechanical ventilation uses force (like a fan) to move air. Additionally, fresh air is sometimes mixed with the interior air to improve humidity and quality.

Sometimes, this is the easiest way to reduce odors and humidity indoors. Natural ventilation is the process of freshening the air without using fans or other devices. Typically, this is a simple as opening windows to allow fresh air to circulate.

Cooling

Air conditioning is the final aspect in this type of system. In warm months, air conditioning is essential for both cooling the air and removing humidity from the air. Adequate cooling is essential for keeping employees (and customers) comfortable on warm weather days.

When temperatures rise, large buildings can often become overly warm in a very quick manner.

While cool air is important, reducing the humidity in the air is just as important. Excess humidity is not only uncomfortable, but it can cause major problems with mold and other contaminants that thrive on warm moisture.
